Psoriasis on the Trunk

These plaques have started to heal. Typically, they heal on the inside of the lesion first making the lesions look like ringworm. After they have healed, the skin is often lighter or darker than the surrounding normal skin for a period of time.

Note the band of plaques just below the waist. This band was formed as clothes rubbed against the skin, a characteristic called the Koebner phenomenon.
