Plaque Psoriasis of the Elbow

The elbows and other extensor surfaces are common places where psoriasis plaques form. These plaques have very thick scales -- so thick it is difficult to see any skin underneath. Treating these plaques first requires medicating them to loosen the scales. Otherwise medications would have a hard time getting to the skin underneath.
