Submit Your Pictures to the Dermatology Gallery

Instructions for submitting your pictures to be included in the dermatology gallery are below.

You can send me pictures of your skin, hair, or nails, and I will add them to the Dermatology Gallery. Pictures will be divided into 2 categories - Diagnoses and Descriptions. I cannot make a diagnosis based on any pictures sent, therefore, pictures of any diseases must include a statement that your health care provider has given you a diagnosis and the diagnosis itself. Pictures that do not include these statements will be considered for use describing dermatologic terms, such as papule or telangiectasia.

1. Use a digital camera photo or SCAN your favorite photo to a GIF or JPG file. Please try to keep your photos to less than 40K and 375 pixels wide. If you need help in making your photo smaller, try JPGs or The Right Choice.

2. OPEN an email window by clicking this link: dermatology.guide@about.com.

3. COPY and PASTE the following text into the email window. All text must be included for photo to be accepted for publication.

4. COMPLETE the required information in your email window, add your photo as an ATTACHMENT, and SEND the completed email to dermatology.guide@about.com. You will be notified when your picture is added, or if it cannot be used.

ATTENTION AOL USERS: Do not write me without ensuring that your mail is capable of accepting mail back from my address. Your pictures will not be added if I cannot reach you. This frustrates us both. You also need to be sure that all photos are sent as attachments, otherwise the images will not display.
