I am a dermatologist myself. I believe that if a rash looks scary then it is scary. the moment one has doubts regarding the status of the rash one must consult a dermatologist. that is the only way to be sure you are not going to have a major crisis on hand.
Also, a few of the diseases that you mention as not curable are very well and very nicely controllable
