New Topical Acne Medicine Approved by the FDA

The FDA has approved Ziana®, the only combination of a topical antibiotic and retin-a used to treat acne. Ziana contains clindamycin phosphate 1.2% and tretinoin 0.025% in an alcohol-free, water based gel. It is used once a day to treat mild to moderate acne with or without blackheads and whiteheads.
